Retail

Retail interiors are built fast, changed often, and photographed constantly. Large formats mean fewer joints to set out on a short programme, and through-body colour means a chipped plinth corner does not show a different material underneath. The constraint that shapes a retail specification is almost never the material — it is the programme. On a nine-week fit-out there is no time to detail your way out of a problem, so the decisions that matter are the ones that remove decisions from the site: fewer joints, one continuous colour, and plinths that survive being moved four times a year without being replaced.

What each sector actually asks for

The technical questions change more between sectors than they do between finishes. A hotel asks about cleaning cycles, a clinic asks about disinfectants, and an office asks about the joint pattern.

Working on something like these?

Send the drawings, or just the areas and the programme. We quote in two working days and we say no when the format is wrong for the job.
