A private kitchen is the most scrutinised surface we supply: it is looked at from 400 mm away, every day, by someone who chose it. Book-matching, edge detail and the join between worktop and splashback are the whole job, and all three are decided at drawing stage rather than on site. The large format earns its keep here more than anywhere: a three-metre island out of a single slab has no joints to explain, and the offcut becomes the sills and the utility worktop rather than scrap. The other half of a residential specification is heat — a household that owns a trivet and a household that does not need different materials.
What each sector actually asks for
The technical questions change more between sectors than they do between finishes. A hotel asks about cleaning cycles, a clinic asks about disinfectants, and an office asks about the joint pattern.
