Oak grain pressed into stone, for walls that get wet.

L03 carries a fine oak grain pressed into the surface. It is specified for wet rooms, spa walls and shower linings — places where timber is the intended look and timber is the wrong material.
The grain runs along the 2800 mm dimension. That is worth knowing at drawing stage, because a wall set out to run the grain vertically will use the slab across its short dimension and the number of joints roughly doubles.
It is a vertical finish. The relief that makes it look like timber also holds water and dirt when it is laid flat, and we do not recommend it as a floor at any thickness.
Typical values for the body. The two marked as sample references are supplied with this template and must be confirmed against your own project requirement before you rely on them.
Two people and a frame move it; a suction rail does the rest. The reason the format matters is not the size of the slab, it is the number of joints that disappear from the drawing.



A three-metre island in 3200 comes out of one slab, with the waterfall ends book-matched from the same piece. In 1200 × 600 it is nine pieces and eight joints, and every one of those joints is a decision somebody has to make on site, at seven in the morning, with the client arriving at nine.
