Terms of sale

These terms apply to the supply of surface materials by Ardesa Surfaces to trade customers. They do not apply to consumers buying through a fabricator or a distributor, whose contract is with that company.

Quotations and orders

Quotations are valid for thirty days and are based on the quantities and finishes stated. An order is accepted when we issue an order confirmation, not when a quotation is signed.

Batch variation

Fired materials vary between production batches. Where a project requires colour consistency across phases, this must be stated at order stage so that material can be reserved from a single batch. We cannot guarantee consistency between orders placed at different times.

Inspection before fabrication

Slabs must be inspected on delivery and before cutting. Claims relating to visible defects cannot be accepted once material has been cut, because at that point it is no longer possible to establish whether the defect was present on arrival.

Warranty

We warrant the material against manufacturing defects for ten years from delivery. The warranty covers replacement of material only and does not cover fabrication, installation or consequential costs.

Limitation

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
